Mary joined Valerie Wilson Travel in 2006 following a successful 15-year career in various retail management positions at Talbots. As VWT’s Director Marketing, Mary spends much of her time developing and executing high-level marketing strategies, as well as overseeing the day-to-day marketing of the VWT brand. Mary works across several departments, providing leadership to VWT’s in-house marketing team and advising on various initiatives within the company’s proprietary Suite Access™ program. Additionally, she has been instrumental in launching VWT’s newest marketing and brand initiatives, organizing client events for VWT offices across the US and hosting VWT’s annual Tour, Cruise, Wellness and Suite Access™ Fairs at the NYC Headquarters along with VWT’s preferred partners.
Mary and the VWT marketing team played a critical role in the execution of VWT’s 35th Anniversary celebration with 500+ industry representatives in attendance, as well as the inaugural VWT GOALS Academy, which featured two days of training and networking, along with hundreds of prominent luxury travel representatives from around the globe. More recently, the team was responsible for the second installment of VWT GOALS Academy, which spanned three days and continued the collaborative educational mission of the first Academy. She also plays a key role in the company’s earned media efforts which have culminated in multi-page features and cover stories in Luxury Travel Advisor, CEO Magazine and LEADERS. Mary is extremely proud of the marketing team’s accomplishments, which most recently includes gold and silver recognition in the 2019 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards as well as platinum and gold recognition in the 2019 MarCom Awards.
Mary enjoys traveling with her family and is an active volunteer in her community. She resides with her family in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and enjoys visiting her college-aged twins.
