Domestic and International Leisure Travel, Honeymoons, Exotic Destinations, Family and Multi-generational, Certified New Zealand and French Polynesia Destination Specialist
Graduating Bucknell University with a wealth of personal travel experience, Emily Meredith Prentiss recognized that exploring the people, places, and cultures of the world was her passion. She was fortunate to connect with fellow Bucknell alumnus, Kimberly Wilson Wetty, Co-President of Valerie Wilson Travel. Kimberly became Emily’s mentor, guiding her into the role of a Leisure Travel Advisor.
Emily, now 33, is in her 12th year at VWT and became an Associate (IC) in January 2018. She has visited over 50 countries (her favorites more than once) and specializes in leisure travel around the world, often focusing on exotic and emerging destinations. Specifically, her niche is one-of-a-kind hotels, often family owned and operated.
As a Virtuoso Advisor, she provides clients with the pinnacle of personalized service as every trip is specially curated and tailored to each client. Emily’s business is primarily repeat and referral based, with a diverse clientele consisting of travel for couples (including honeymoons and babymoons), family and multi-generational travel, and beyond.
Emily was nominated and recognized as the 2016 Virtuoso Rising Star. She was invited and accepted to join the exclusive Virtuoso Preview Advisory Board for the much anticipated openings of both The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel in London (2019) as well as Cheval Blanc Paris (2021).
In addition to expansive first-hand knowledge of renowned and hidden destinations, Emily has received certifications as a Tahiti Specialist and is a Gold 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist. Early in her career, Emily was named one of the Top 35 Travel Agents Under 30 and was featured in the New York Times article, “Are Travel Agents Back?”. She participated in Travel+Leisure’s Rising Advisors program in Cannes as well as conferences, events and webinars to focus on the importance of a growing young travel industry. Emily frequently travels the world scoping out new destinations for her clients. To her, nothing is more important than the power of the human connection, not only with her clients but with incredible industry partners.
Emily resides in New York City. She loves adventure but can easily be forced to relax. She is sharpening her cooking abilities, frequenting the barn to horseback ride and continues to swim many miles at awesome destinations. Due to the recently enacted Austrian Citizenship Act, Emily has obtained Austrian citizenship… don’t worry though, she is not going anywhere!
