Quite by accident! My goal was to become, first a military pilot and then a commercial pilot. When I found out I had poor depth perception, (I flunked that part of the eye exam), I began working for the airlines anyway in a multitude of capacities with the exception of flying the plane. After 10 years of that, I hopped over to the TMC side and here I am today – doing exactly what I love to do.
My favorite travel destination is Italy. I have a great passion for food & wine and for me there is no more idyllic place on earth where you can enjoy some of the very best food and wine tied in with truly authentic experiences, such as visiting many of the smaller run family wineries and enjoy tastings with the families. One of my favorite “ less commercial” spots which I recently visited was the Piemonte (Langhe) region, home of Barolo, Barbaresco and truffles.
