Born in PA 70 years ago, my brother, sister and I were fortunate to have parents who saw the value of travel as a learning tool. Not wealthy we saw the country as part of many ongoing camping excursions – from simple weekends to a six week meander to Seattle’s 1962 World’s Fair. As an adult I have enjoyed the finest of five star properties, the pleasure of a hostel, the magic of a week afoot on the trail and, my favorite – cross country cycling – life is best when it is varied. I live happily with my partner in San Francisco – so really while roaming the world is great, there truly is no place like home!
Cuenca, Ecuador – a delightful small city in the mountains, clean, friendly and a beautiful home to an ex-pat population enjoying the delights of the locale.
Little Makena on Maui – past the glitz of Wailea to a few clothing optional hours in the sun make this spot magical.
I began working in travel in the ‘80’s starting with a carriage trade leisure agency in Atlanta. Both leisure and corporate have been a large part of my career as a travel professional. Earning my CTC was a natural follow on to a life time of exploration with my family and a professional move into travel management. Having visited all 50 U.S. states and many countries around the world, I tend to like the less traveled experiences which reveal the nature of the area and the people I am visiting.
