Mykonos

Of the 220 islands making up the Cyclades, Mykonos remains one of the most popular and well-known tourist destinations year after year. Famous for its iconic white and blue architecture, stunning beaches, and VIP nightlife (called the “Ibiza” of Greece), Mykonos is an ideal destination for honeymooners, partygoers, and those with a special affinity for Greek Mythology. With its A-List appeal and exceptionally progressive culture, Mykonos is packed full of some of the finest luxury hotels and resorts making ripples in the world of travel and providing the most heavenly photo opportunities to take home with you. Keep reading if you are ready to finally cross Greece off your bucket list the right way.

What we would do:

Discover Delos and Rhenia. A thirty-minute boat ride from Mykonos sits the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Delos, the mythological birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis. Explore the ruins of what was once a thriving port city along with a museum of its ancient artefacts. Myconian Ambassador offers private excursions to Delos including a snorkeling trip and barbecue at the sacred island of Rhenia prior to exploring the island at a time when few people choose to visit.

Little Venice. Once home to the first settlers of Mykonos, Chora neighborhood is one of the most stunning places on the whole island. Historic homes known for their aesthetic of whitewashed cubed buildings, colored doors, and windows and balconies, have been transformed into cozy restaurants, fine shops, hip bars, and more. The infamous white windmills, the trademark of the island, overlook the city and give a magnificent view of Little Venice for those looking for the complete Mykonos experience.

Explore the beautiful beaches. Mykonos is loaded with great beaches known for their powdery sand, turquoise waters, and wide range of atmospheres. Platis Gialos Beach (close to Myconian Ambassador) is one of the best beaches on the island with plenty of restaurants, a mini-market, and water taxi to Super Paradise and other beaches. Elia Beach (close to Myconian Villa Collection) is the longest beach on Mykonos and provides activities for the whole family including water sports, restaurants, and even a clothing optional section for those really embracing their vacation mood.
